Pope Francis Center
The Pope Francis Center provides life-saving services with love, hope and dignity to people experiencing chronic homelessness in the heart of downtown Detroit. Those who are chronically homeless face complex barriers to independent living. The Pope Francis Center is dedicated to serving those who are experiencing homelessness and their challenges including mental illness, substance abuse and physical disability.
The PFCF’s partnership with the Pope Francis Center will help Pope Francis build a 40-unit Bridge Housing facility in Detroit, providing guests with 90 – 120 days of shelter, along with intensive medical, respite, psychological, addiction, social and job-readiness services. The Bridge Housing facility will give guests the adequate time and support needed before transitioning into permanent supportive housing.
