The PFCF is contributing $418,000 over the next three years in support of a research study carried out by the University of Notre Dame’s Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) and Jewish Family Services (JFS) of Austin, Dallas and Houston. LEO and JFS are partnering with private caregiver service, BubbieCare. JFS will provide financial coaching and literacy services to the caregivers. The caregivers are usually people struggling with financial instability, lower educational attainment and other challenges.  The research study will glean insights on how financial coaching and literacy courses can equip caregivers with pathways out of poverty.
