Our Mission

We support humanitarian initiatives led by nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in the United States and globally.

Guided by the belief in the inherent dignity of all persons, the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation works to meet the basic human needs of the most marginalized members of the human family, including socioeconomically disadvantaged youth; the aged; persons with physical, emotional, and mental disabilities; and those with the fewest material resources.

In addition to the above, the Foundation seeks to serve religious communities and correlative organizations of Judeo-Christian beliefs. To this end, the Foundation strives to enact through its grantees the Seven Corporal Works of Mercy: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty; clothe the naked; care for captives; shelter the homeless; visit the sick, and assist the mourning.

Our Four Areas of Giving

In accordance with the Seven Corporal Works of Mercy, we support nonprofit organizations that fall into four areas of giving:

We support nonprofit initiatives in the areas of mental, behavioral, and physical healthcare, persons with disabilities, disadvantaged youth, crisis assistance, religious organizations, veterans, victims of violence or human trafficking, senior citizens, and solutions to humanitarian issues.

We support educational initiatives through public and private schools, colleges, universities, trade schools, scholarships, academic leadership, policy, practice, and academic research addressing global affairs and effective, scalable, innovative programs and solutions for poverty.

We support nonprofit initiatives which provide clean water, sustainable water infrastructures, nutritional and food access programs, school meal programs, agricultural research, and development for sustainable hunger solutions.

We support nonprofit initiatives that assist those experiencing homelessness or poverty, teenage single mothers, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, veterans, victims of violence or human trafficking, and natural disasters.

Our Legacy

Building on 60 years of impact

Bill Pulte was a Master Builder with a heart for world peace.

He was well known, of course, as a builder of homes and the builder of a company. However, as a quiet philanthropist, Bill Pulte was a builder of communities, goodwill, spirit, family, and faith.
