The Foundation has made a bold investment in Monarca, a 50-acre development in Immokalee that will provide 179 affordable rental homes for the essential workers who sustain this region. Nearly half the residents of Immokalee live below the poverty line, often in overcrowded trailers with rent consuming the majority of their income.
Monarca is designed to change that—offering not just housing, but dignity, safety, and the opportunity to thrive. The site will also include a community center, a nature preserve, and a lake, along with a Build A Better Life program to help residents move forward. While the Foundation is leading this effort, additional funding from government agencies, private donors, corporations, and foundations will bring this bold vision to life.
